Who am I…
I’m a 27-year-old with a passion for skincare, makeup and fashion. I paired those with my love for writing and started a lifestyle blog!
I really enjoy humor. Anyone who knows me will say that I’m extremely sarcastic. So, I have been trying to start letting that show more throughout my posts.
I talk about real life topics, mixed with some fashion inspiration and professional skincare or beauty tips. If you want to know more about anything email me or comment below. In the event that I don’t know the answers to a topic, I’ll find someone who does.
Through blogging I was able to find my true passion in life and make it my career. In my professional life, I am now a freelance media marketing consultant and manager. It is so fun… I get to be creative and productive all at the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I love skincare (I am a licensed esthetician) and fashion… but media marketing is what makes my heart race.
A little bit more about me….
Let’s start at the beginning… I was born in 1991 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Yes, the small town where SlapShot was filmed. No, I’ve never seen it. I grew up in the Catholic school system, where English and education in general were super important. This is where I found my passion for writing, and also where it became almost perfected, not always by choice. Shout out to all my English teachers. By the age of 18, I saw language as the most powerful form of art which had an impact on my life from there on out…
Soon it was time for college. I chose to go to Robert Morris University for what other than communications and at first, journalism. During my sophomore year I selected public relations as my concentration, replacing journalism.
I started college in 2009, Facebook was just becoming popular and other sites like Twitter and Instagram where on the horizon. I had no clue how much these websites would shape what I wanted to do with my life, but they did!
The Real World & The Blog…
After college, I landed one great corporate sales job and an even better one quickly after that. During my time in sales I found interests in makeup and fashion. I was constantly watching vlogs, reading beauty and lifestyle blogs. It became a way of life.
I sat in front of a computer with two screens, one of which 99.9% of the time had Pinterest pulled up. I was constantly scrolling through, seeking inspiration for what to wear to work or out that weekend… Finding what makeup products to use became a weekly thing…The amount of information was endless.
Finally, after two years of hating my life doing inside sales, I took a leap of faith and went to a startup company…. It may not have worked out the way I’d hoped, BUT the universe works in mysterious ways. I was able to finally go back to school for something that I was passionate about… Making people feel good about themselves. While in school I launched my website, at first it was very fashion and beauty centered. Recently, I’ve began to let my followers get to know the real “me” more and have morphed my blog into a lifestyle blog as well.
