YouTube is the cure-all for my boredom, so I decided to make you all a list of what entertains me the most. What you won’t find in this list are any “YouTube University” informational videos and “how to curl your hair” or “get ready with me” tutorials. First, I like correct information from credible sources. Second, no one needs to see another tutorial on how to get beach waves. Finally, I don’t want to watch a staged YouTube vid of a girl doing her makeup the same way everyone else does. Sorry. YouTube is beginning to lack authenticity as much as Instagram…
Got a little off topic there, but that’s okay… Back to the business at hand.
There’s no way to determine what videos you watch the most, however aside from using it for music there are a solid 8-10 videos that I keep coming back to for more… no matter how much time has passed.
Here they are, The Top Ten Greatest YouTube Videos Ever Made According to Me… in no specific order because that would be asking way too much of me. If you stick around till the end, I’ll link two of the YouTube videos that I star in… lol
1. Beyoncé Super Bowl halftime Performance (2013)
Inspirational to say the very least. 13 minutes later and you’re ready to take on the f*cking world. Not to mention you got your 90’s fix with that DC performance. I still get worked up.
2. No Body’s Perfect
Doglover is an OG. She is one of the first pioneers of the accidental viral video movement. Her effortless knack for entertainment is one that I strive for and look to obtain.
Confession: I forgot about this video for about a 8 years. I used to watch it everyday and since rediscovering it I think I watch it twice as much.
3. Drinking Out of Cups
Before DJ Khalid was preaching to the masses, there was a Lizard with the voiceover of a guy who was tripping balls on something… I think. Anyway, SEA HORSES, FOREVA.
4. Jackie and Debra- Stephanie Berger
Just gals being gals…. you’ll never regret the time you spend watching Jackie and Debra. Seriously, if you think the way girls behave towards and interract with each other is low-key hilarious, you’ll be rolling on the ground.
5. Tip Drill – Nelly
This music video was banned from BET. A girl twerks so hard her thong pops off, its iconic. If you’re easily offended or a diehard feminist, this video is not for you… and neither am I for that matter.
6. Jenna Marbles – How to Avoiding Talking to People you Don’t Want to Talk to
The OG YouTube comedy queen, it was so hard to only pick one Jenna video… the older ones, not the new ones… they kind of suck. ANYWAY, if you have time go watch some old Jenna Marbles videos from 6 years back and prior. They are perfect. I love her sarcasm and lack of a filter. This video is pure genius.
7. It’s Chilly – VTrain612
… see anyone familiar? nope, I don’t know any of them either. Basically I have a friend that can rap, write raps and produce music videos. College was fun.
8. 10 Cats Meowing
Living alone gets boring sometimes, so I mess… I mean play with Blayze. Often times that includes playing this and listening to him search for the other cat and “talk back”. Cat lady problems.
9. Bon Qui Qui at King Burger – MadTV
“…but don’t get crazy.” If you don’t know the Bon Qui Qui rap… rude. Don’t you wish could all handle our customer service problems like she does. Sec-cur-ity!
10. Scarlet Takes a Tumble
Before there were highlight reels of people falling, there was Scarlet. She was just singing her heart out, showing off her shoes and BAM life came at her quick. If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, give it a view and welcome to the world. Where have you been for the past decade?
