Whether you’re planning a trip to Pittsburgh this summer, or you’re a current resident trying to keep yourself entertained, you won’t want to skip this read!

Without further ado, let’s talk about 10 Fun Things To Do in Pittsburgh This Summer…

This ten-day, festival of the arts temporarily transforms downtown Pittsburgh into the most inspiring area of the world. The festival is riddled with events for grownups and children alike! If music, art and festival food is your thing, plan on spending at least two days at Arts Fest!

Pittsburgh Pirates Game

Here’s the schedule!

Sure their owner cares more about his ski resort than his baseball team, but the views in PNC Park are ones that aren’t worth missing. Jam On Walnut

June 23, 2018, July 21, 2018 & August 18, 2018

Head down to Pittsburgh’s most trendy neighborhood and Jam on Walnut Street. The Shady Side area becomes even more of the place to be when they shut down Walnut St for concerts and drink specials. All proceeds made on the street are donated to Humane Animal Rescue. The bars are packed and the atmosphere is always lit, for lack of a better term.

Thursday Yoga at COMA

Every Thursday, year ’round, the Carnegie Museum of Art hosts a yoga class! The classes are from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. They are open to all levels and to anyone ages 18 and up. You do need to bring your own mat. These classes are drop-in, so no registration is necessary or available. There are class package options for purchase!

Pittsburgh Beerfest

July 13, 2018 – July 14, 2018

Twice a year at Stage AE, Beerfest comes to town. Even though it’s not quite like the festival in the movie, it is a good time with lots of beer to drink. Tickets are required, so be sure to get yours ahead of time. It’s basically a big party and you’re a loser if you miss out.

Weekend Farmer’s Markets

Who knew Pittsburgh had so many farmer’s markets?! Find a complete list here. No matter what area of “the burgh” you reside in, there is no excuse of why you aren’t eating locally grown produce. There are farmer’s markets everywhere. Check it out and let me know which are your favorites!

Picklesburgh

July 20, 2018 – July 22, 2018

Picklesburgh is back and we are soooo excited. What could be better than a two-day festival dedicated to pickles?! Nothing. Pittsburgh loves pickles so much that Heinz felt the need to celebrate them. Entertainment, social interaction and food… what could be better?

Visit the Museums

Need a break from the heat? Step into one of the many unique museums that Pittsburgh is home to. The Mattress Factory and The Warhol are for sure the two favorites. These places even hold special cocktail hours and events on weekends! How cool is that? If you’re looking to stay outdoors, but still take in some amazing art, Randyland in the North Side is always a fun place to be!

The Regatta

August 4, 2018 – August 6, 2018

You gotta Regatta, you know? Concerts, boats, festival food and extreme sports competitions… the only downfall of the Regatta is that it symbolizes that Summer is coming to a close and before you know it the snow will be falling… OMG that’s so depressing. BRB I need to cry. Aside from that, the Regatta is awesome and something that most Pittsburghers look forward to every year!

There yinz have it! Festivals, fitness activities, food and everything in between…
xo,
Ash
