“How does one detox underarms and since when are you vegan?” Hold tight, we’ll get to the first part… and I’m not vegan.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that recently one of my lifelong bffs was diagnosed with breast cancer at 27, and not the genetic kind.

Since being told “lifestyle choices” are how a woman in her late twenties ends up with breast cancer, we decided to investigate just what these lifestyle choices could be.

The two lifestyle choices with the most scientific probability to cause any sort of cancer are taking the birth control pill and using regular deodorant.

First things first…

I have been off of birth control for almost two years. I went on it when I was 15 for cramps and heavy bleeding, but the breast cancer and infertility risks scared me into giving it up after 11 years, I now tough out the horrible cramps (or use a different kind of medicine *wink, wink*). The best part of no longer being on the pill, besides not having to remember to take it everyday is that I’ve noticed that I’m not half as psychotic as I was while on “The Pill” and the condition I was diagnosed with, PMDD, which is basically severe PMS, was caused by the extra hormones. Being that this one was long checked off of the “lifestyle choices” list I moved to the next.

The Deodorant in Your Medicine Cabinet is Toxic

The main concern with traditional deodorant is that it contains a ton of aluminum and other toxins. The aluminum is the most concerning because it actually clogs your pores. This is nice when you consider that it is what stops you from sweating, however when you also think about the fact that aluminum is now all through your bloodstream and so close to your lymph nodes… no, no, no.

Vegan Deodorant Doesn’t Work

If you’ve tried it and failed, there are probably two reasons. First reason being the brand you’re using. Being that natural deodorant is a new trend, there are a ton of imposters out there. Finding a brand that works for you and your body chemistry is important.

I was recommended No Tox Botanicals and I could not be happier with the results I’m seeing. They have several scents, the first I’m using is Pure Lavender! Next on my list is Pure Aloe…

My review: No sweating, no unpleasant smell.

Probably because I’ve spent the last week or so getting all of the aluminum and other toxins out of my armpits. Which leads me to the next reason, you need to detox your underarms before natural or vegan deodorant will work.

How to Detox Your Underarms

Lucky for me, when I ordered from No Tox, they send me a few small bars of their charcoal soap to help speed up the detox process! I’ve used it everyday, twice a day since I started using their vegan deodorant, and as I mentioned above… I’ve noticed no bad smell or excessive sweat.

However, before even ordering a natural or vegan deodorant I did my due diligence and researched how to have success using it, excessively. I knew I would give up at the first sign of sweat or smell.

While searching google, I came across several blogs, articles and testimonials that recommended using Aztec Secret’s Indian Healing Clay. Yes, you’re going to put a face mask on your armpits… it’s fine.

The best part is, this baby is available on Amazon, you can Prime this b*tch and start detoxing while you wait for your No Tox shipment! Which by the way, shipped from California to Pittsburgh fast.

The mask is really what I credit with making my underarm detox run so smoothly. I also use it on my face while detoxing and let me tell ya, this may be my new favorite mask!

Feel your boob, make educated lifestyle choices & keep my friend, Kate and others fighting to beat breast cancer in your prayers.

Xo,

Ash
